Organic vs. Non-organic fruits and vegetables

One reason we joined Fresh Fork Market is because it would provide us with fresh produce from farms close to our home.  There are many benefits to this, including less pollution created from transporting the produce and fresher produce in your home because they have been in transport less time.   But I love that this fresh produce is also produced using sustainable methods. 

The Environmental Working Group posted their latest “Clean 15” and “Dirty Dozen.”  Next time you are at the grocery store, keep in mind which fruits and veggies to buy organic versions of and which are ok non-organic.  Here is their list:  http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/summary/

Dirty Dozen (Buy organic if you can)

  1. Apples
